I am a retired Langley RCMP officer who was diagnosed 5 years ago with a rare form of Blood Cancer and after unsuccessful chemotherapy treatments, was given a life expectancy of 3 years. My last resort was a bone marrow transplant but my family members were not a match nor could they identify a donor in North America. We finally 
found a match from the International Bone Marrow Registry and I received a life saving bone marrow transplant from the generosity of a 20 year old man from East Germany. I am now in complete remission.
After receiving the Gift of Life from a complete stranger, I find myself in the position to “Pay it Forward.” Retired Langley RCMP Detachment officer, Sgt. Tim Kreiter, who has served the Langley community since 1981, needs your assistance.
His 30 year old daughter Erin, was studying at the University of Alberta to become a cancer researcher and was suddenly diagnosed with Myastheniagravis, which is a degenerative neural muscular disorder related to Muscular Dystrophy. This has left Erin a quadriplegic confined to a wheel chair, unable to breathe unassisted and requiring 24 hour care. Erin was spent over a year in VGH and at the GF Strong Facility. This obviously has had a tremendous impact both emotionally and financially on Tim and his family who have had to renovate their home to make it wheel chair accessible at a cost of approximately $200,000.00.
Dominion Power Washing Inc is organizing another fund raising drive to raise money to assist the Kreiter’s through this life-altering event. We are supplying our trucks, equipment and fuel with ALL proceeds going to the Erin Kreiter Trust Fund. My employees, along with off-duty RCMP officers, will be volunteering their time to preform the cleaning.
ADVERTISING CORRECTION: The details of the fundraiser was printed in the newspapers incorrectly. We are not cleaning home exteriors. We are only cleaning flat surface work; driveways, patios and sidewalks.
